I am thinking of making a trip out to Catalina from up North. I would like to make sure that I am in gliding distance of land when crossing the water. Looking at the charts, I think that would mean I either have to fly over the Bravo, which would probably mean I need to circle to descend on landing. Or I could fly one of the transition routes through the Bravo. It looks like the Hollywood Park route, or the Coastal route would work for my intended route.

Does anyone have an tips for the area or how to best get in? I am pretty comfortable in busy airspace, and have been in Bravo before. If anyone has any pireps, I would much appreciate it.
