I started to worry about aircraft costs of operation. Maybe I want to sell? Looking at prices of “affordable” aircraft ……the prices have gone up….?
The answer could be that there is just not enough aircraft affordable left to buy?……There are pilots with the money to buy and sometimes we all forget that out of a population of 330,000,000 there are maybe 200,000 light aircraft (under 6000 pounds ) in the fleet…..
So what is an affordable aircraft?……
An example is a fellow was selling a 67 172 for 70k……looked nice with paint and exterior, but had a questionable engine and very old radios………VERY old…….
