Five years ago I replaced my landing light with a Whelen LED & have never had to replace it, even though it’s on all the time. Very pleased. When I installed it though, I had to modify the metal bowl the light sits in because of the plastic fins on the back of the light. I’m looking at replacing this one with the new two in one landing/ taxi light, Parmetheus G3. Problem is, this one’s dimensions looks to be larger than the Whelen Par36 I swapped out before. Has anyone installed one of these in their aircraft? How did you modify the bowl to accept the larger size. ( PA-28-140)
