I've had this happen twice on my Piper Archer II. After very heavy rainfall with the aircraft left on a ramp when we've been traveling - I find the carpet very wet. This includes both the front and rear carpet.

Nothing else is wet in the aircraft - no wet windows, instrument panel, etc. It's only the carpet.

Keep in mind these were some heavy rain events with quite a bit of wind.

Thoughts on where the water is coming from....
