Hi,

My Cherokee 180 was damaged in the recent storm that hit KCHD last week. The sustained winds were above 60KTS and several aircraft broke free of their tie downs and went airborne. We're still cleaning the mess up days later.

I've never dealt with an aircraft insurance claim before and I'm looking for any advice on the process. The obvious damage includes a bent rudder, bent ailerons, bent flaps and something hit the stabilator trim tab. I can't figure out how but the front carpet was wet too. Other Cherokees have similar damage.

Aside from replacing the damaged parts is there anything else I should have the shop focus on? What could have been damaged that can be easily seen?

Thanks so much for the help.
