STC to lower the seat?

Hi Folks - I aim a new owner (first Piper, first plane) and I'm wondering if anyone knows of an STC or a company that sells lower seats or seats that recline a little more for a 67 Cherokee C 180. I have an awesome plane and love it, but I am 6'2" and an extra inch or two of headroom would be nice (with my headset on, I am up against the headliner).

If the pilot's seat reclined a little bit, it would do the trick also. It looks like there is enough room under the seat for it to be a little lower, but I haven't been able to find anything on line about a lower seat being available aftermarket, and obviously just having at it and modifying a seat is a really baaaad idea.... :)

any ideas? Anyone know of a company that does this or a lower or more articulated seat from another model that is OK'd for use in the Cherokee?

Thanks!
