I have a 1967 Cherokee 140. Just had the engine overhauled and a primary engine monitor installed. I am pondering where the useful load for this plane has gone. We did an actual empty weight, 768lb useful load yet the POH shows a 949 or 909lb useful load. Any ideas where all the useful load went? I figure electronics have gotten lighter and I lost a little doing the 160hp STC on the overhaul but cannot see this many pounds difference. Purely a curiosity question as a new owner.
