I've got some unofficial twin time. Since we're considering buying a twin, I figured it was time to get the rating. Training will be in a Beech Dutchess. The two planes on the top of the list are Turbo Twin Comanche and Cessna 310R Turbo. Performance on the Cessna is better but operating costs are higher. Twin Comanche is more economical all the way around, but the fleet is older and parts are getting hard to find. There are more 310's to choose from. Prices on both are pretty reasonable. It's a buyers market for sure.
