I’ve got a 1970 Cherokee 235D, it is equipped with factory shoulder harnesses but they latch to the seatbelt by simply slipping a small latch into a groove on the belt. There’s nothing to hold it in other than the tension of the shoulder strap itself. My problem is, as I move around, it tends to unlatch during flight. A few times it has unlatched while I’m dropping flaps, causing me to have to land with a loose hanging shoulder strap over my shoulder. Does anyone know of an upgraded latch that I can change either the shoulder strap latch or all the latches on the front seats? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
