My Cherokee remains outside through the long nasty winter.

During the non flying months I have to periodically scrape the snow off it it before it gets very deep.

I use a fuselage cover to protect the windshield but worry about hitting the OAT probe when I am removing the snow. It happened with the PO and I had to install a new OAT gage.

Think it would be a good idea to remove the probe for winter? Save me worrying about it.

Of course I also remove the battery each fall. Also use tail and wing covers.

Thanks
