Hi All!
First off, I apologize because I'm a newbie. I have a PA-28-150 that I purchased about 7 months ago. I have noticed that I lose the ability to hear ATC well before handoff points when I am flying XC. What is odd is that I can transmit and ATC can hear me, but I am not able to hear their response. I've gotten to the point where I just let the previous controller know that I will lose reception, then broadcast in the blind for 20-30 miles until I can hear them. This is not super desirable of course :). I was thinking it was a poor antenna, but when I do receive audio, I never have audio quality issues. I also don't seem to have any issues transmitting.

So, my question, does anyone have thoughts on what could cause this? My antenna is on top of the plane, and I've read that that may cause it. Does anyone have thoughts on what else could cause these symptoms?
