Piper yoke medallion

Occasionally someone asks where to find this style yoke medallion (/ emblem / logo / whatever):

It's not available via the "usual suspects".

Per the parts manual, this is Piper part# 79275-00. Per Aviall, that part has been superseded by #104364-002.

Skygeek sells that p/n for a whopping $180:

According to my shop, Aviall sells it for $150.

Ridiculous. But, it's technically available. (At least I think that's the same medallion; Google can't find a photo of p/n 104364-002.)

Anyway, just thought I'd share what I learned.
