I have noticed that i have been getting what seems like a shimmy on a main landing gear leg on takeoff and roll out as well on out PA-28-235. I thought it was the nose wheel on the aircraft but was able to keep the nose wheel off during take off and landing and noticed it was a main.

Anyone encountered this? I the main tires are pretty worn and are about to be replaced. I'm wondering if that could be a culprit.

Suggestions? Everything seems to be fine otherwise.
