I have a question for those of you who are IO540-K1G5D engine owners.

My Lance lately during cold (below about 50F) start-ups has a delay in oil pressure indication of approximately 3 to 5 Seconds. Makes me nervous. A young A&P that I talked to said it's normal and he sees it on other airplanes occasionally.

Does anyone else see this issue and is this a known problem or is it normal? I run Phillips XC 20W50 and Tempest oil filter. For background I keep my hangar at minimum of 45°F during the winter.
