We have a 75 Cherokee 140/160. We are doing oil changes every 50 hours and on the last change my Mx noticed some metal in the filter. Not a lot, maybe 1/4 teaspoon, but it is ferrous and he thinks it is the cam. I am going to add some AvBlend on his recommendation and continue to watch it. Maybe change just the filter after 25 hours to see if it is getting worse. Still waiting on oil analysis to come back. Compressions are fine and the engine makes good power. His recommendation is watch and see if it continues to worsen. If it gets bad enough we are considering doing an IRAN. The engine is 500 TSMO. Pretty sure someone has been through this already. Just looking for suggestions. Engine is a O-320-E3D.
