I have a 1978 Piper Archer II that was missing the wheel fairings when I purchased it but did originally come with wheel fairings. I purchased a set of used wheel fairings and brackets from someone on eBay about a year ago that were supposedly off a 1981 Piper Archer pa28 - 181. According to the parts book and what I can tell they should be the right ones for my airplane and they fit within the serial number spread. When my A&P went to install them the front will fairing is correct and the rear wheel fairings fit properly but the upper peace is different on my plane then on the new wheel pants. my plane has the upper fairings bolted to the bottom of the wing or screwed to the bottom of the wing the new fairings have some sort of additional fairing that slides within the top. I'm trying to figure out if these truly go to my airplane or if they go to something else unfortunately the stickers have over spray on them so I can't get a part number off of the wheel fairings. The brackets have visible part numbers and they appear to be correct but they also seem to fit many different versions of the pa28 and 32. I'm hoping that somebody can help me identify these or if they have similar wheel fairings on their plane can explain to me how they fit.
