What rpm are you guys crusing at with the cherokee 140's/160hp between 4000 and 8000 ft? I have a 62" prop on mine and I am usually running between 2,500 and 2,550 rpm. I have just over 1,500 hours on the engine with a top overhaul to make 160hp about 500 hours ago. I just changed the oil, using Aeroshell 15w50(7.5 quarts) and a pint of Avblend. It has 10 hours on it by the tach and has maybe used a pint. The engine will static about 2280 to 2300. With the 58" prop on it I could over turn it. I hope it keeps running as it has. Before I did the top overhaul it was bleeding me to death. About a quart every 3 to 4 hours by the hobbs.
