I am curious to hear about how others handle crosswind touchdowns, particularly in how you position the rudder. I learned in a Cessna 150 and after many many years never really adjusted my touchdowns to let the rudder out at the point of touchdown. The more windy the day the more rudder I apply and align to center just before landing then touchdown in that config. It has never caused me any grief. I may instinctively correct but I'm not really sure.

Has this been a problem for anyone? Or does everyone do it "right"?

In case there are some newbees, the rudder and nosewheel are interlocked so when the nosewheel touches down with cross adjusted rudder, so is the nosewheel. Rumor has it you are in for a nasty surprise darting to the right or left at touchdown, but it has never happened to me in what I estimate to be a somewhere approaching a couple of thousand landings.
