A Flying Club has 2 Archers.

The ASI on 76 has a "MPH -Prominent " while the 77 is "Knots-Prominent".

Since Club members fly these interchangeably it could get interesting.

Embarassing or devastating flights may occur.

Actual V-speeds are identical but the presentation is different.

The thought is to put a 77 ASI in the 76.

The 76 has an AFM & the 77 has a POH (by s/n).

Did Piper ever have an option for Kts in 76 & prior years? Perhaps overseas delivery?

Opinions vary with Min Alt (log entry) to Field App 337.

The AFM would have to be revised as well.

Thanks for the comments.
