I found that my Garmin 430 was not transmitting although I was receiving perfectly.
I finally determined that the problem is with the connector on the coax and the connector on the antenna. I suppose it is a type of corrosion.
I cleaned both with a scotch brite pad and solved the problem but it did not last. I had great results for about 1 month but today realized that I was not transmitting.
Does anyone know what to use/do to fix the problem short of replacing antenna, cable, etc?
I hope there is a solvent, grease or something to keep the corrosion from coming back.
