So our Cherokee has a marker beacon antenna and our audio panel has the receiver. When i installed our new avionics I checked the coax coming from the marker beacon antenna with an ohm meter and it showed a short. I disconnected the coax from the antenna and tried again with a different result so that tells me there is a short in the antenna. My question is if the antenna is supposed to short the connection or would that mean we have a faulty antenna?
