I have my Garmin Aera 560 currently panel mounted in my plane with the flush mount. As it is on the right side of the plane, I bought a horizontal angle mount to install making it easier for the pilot to read. The instructions on Air Gizmo's website sound like it is fairly easy to install if you already have a flush mount in place. Can I do this myself or does it require a qualified avionics installer along with a form 337? It is very minor in my opinion but on the other hand, it will become a permanent fixture within the aircraft. I guess I could always install it and remove it when I go to sell it if anybody asks.... let me know your thoughts.
