I am preparing to have the TruTrak Vision autopilot installed in my 1974 Archer. It will compliment the Aspen Pro 1000 PFD, Avidyne IFD 550 and 440 among other toys that are being installed at the same time. From those that have gone down this path before me, the question is where is the best location for the control head in the instrument panel? How often will I be interfacing with these controls during normal use? Has anyone successfully mounted the 2 inch head in the clock hole in the upper left side of the panel despite the tight confines? Did anyone install this in one location and then after flying with it wish they had mounted in another location? Thanks to all of you for your input!
