I have been trying to isolate a problem with my transponder. I have a KT-76 and ATC reported that they could intermittently see our Mode C. It was checked by a local guy and he said it was putting out low power and had to go to the shop. I got it back and they said nothing was wrong with it. So I flew with the newly certified transponder and ATC reported my altitude was stuck at 6000. I changed altitude to no avail. I reset the transponder and then everything was working as it should. Any ideas?
