Anyone have any experience or thoughts on suction mounting anything to a Cherokee windshield ? I have tried my Gopro to the lower right hand corner. Works fine and the Gopro is pretty light. I have also been fiddling with a place to mount a full size iPad. I have a mini mounted on the panel - mount set up by the previous owner. Works great. Have had my regular iPad on the passenger yoke. Works ok but not great. I have a Ram suction mount and several Ram balls / arms. I found a place - top of windshield just to the right of the center post. Might work out well for the iPad. But... Do I want that might weight stuck on the plastic on that location? (Or any other location really). It's a well supported spot. But the Cherokee windshield is not as thick and strong and in some other planes. I don't want to create any stress cracks.

Safe answer is not to try it. Any thoughts?

Thanks much, Gary b
