While complying with the AD note on the stab turn buckles I started playing with my stab trip wheel.

Found ( why didn't I notice this before?) that I could roll the wheel all the way aft until the jackscrew bottomed out but could only roll the wheel fwd until the jack screw was about 1/2 way up. then it felt like I was hitting a stop.

I am reading the shop manual to try and figure out how to rig the stab trim but find it kind of confusing.

This is a PA 32 (1966) and it seems like I should be able to roll the trim wheel fwd until the jack screw tops out. Is that correct?

Any words of advice out there?
