Today for the first time i tried to let my stec 60-2 autopilot fly the rnav approach at a local airport. The approach plate says waas and i have gpss steering. The vertical needle was dead on, but when i pushed the nav button on my autopilot to try and capture the glideslope, the approach light came on and the soft capture light also came on but the autopilot began to steer away from the airport. Am i doing something wrong?
