At least that's how I feel. I've been a student pilot for almost 3 years. 71 years old, and life has been getting in the way. Knee replacement, then 4 months with my mother while she was at home hospice, then detached retina (100% recovered), then caregiver while my wife was in cancer treatment. She's recovering well. But I'm not giving up!
Started out training for light sport. I've decided that's too restrictive and am switching to PP. In the process of satisfying the FAA for my medical. I've been training in a taildragger, 1946 Champ. I've been in an Arrow as a passenger and liked it. I've done a lot of research Cessna 172 vs Piper and am considering a 140 when I get my certificate. I don't want to commit to anything until then.
