Im wondering if any performance can be gained by removing the very rough wing-walk material? I know that Laminar Flow Systems advocated wing smoothing and may homebuilt aircraft omit using wing walk material. Generally if a homebuilder elects to use wing walk material, he will only use it on the trailing portion of the wing. So, will a Cherokee benefit from at least removing the wing walk from the leading portion of the wing?
Thanks
