Folk,

Looking at purchasing a 1977 Piper Arrow III that has a IO-360-C1C model engine rather than the normal IO-360-C1C6.

The current owner has paperwork which basically states "Installed Hartzell 3-blade propeller model HC-C3YR-1RF/F7283 in accordance with STCSA 4528NM" at the same time the new engine was installed.

Is it unusual to have a IO-360-C1C rather than the normal IO-360-C1C6 engine on an (1977) Arrow III?

Does this affect the value, or any other characteristics in any way?

It seems like a strange modification to make, i.e. remove the original IO-360-C1C6 and replace with a IO-360-C1C. The original IO-360-C1C6 had a 2 blade, but the replacement took place before the current owner, and he said he doesn't know why it was changed - and didn't seem to think it unusual.

On a more esoteric question... anyone know if this will cause problems (more than usual :)) importing the aircraft into Canada?
