Had some work done to my plane that involved accessing the front panel wiring. Next time I take the plane out COM2 no longer functional. The Garmin 430 appears to work fine except no radio reception. The RX does not light when tuned to a known signal (local ATIS). However, I noticed that if I push in the COM volume to enable automatic squelch, the RX does light and I hear the signal, but very faintly. When compared to COM1, with squelch, the signal is still noticeably weaker. Is it safe to assume that the antenna was somehow disconnected by the mechanic? I use COM2 every landing for ATIS & GND, so i know it was working last time I flew the plane prior to the work.
