Just came back from a short local flight. On run up I had about 75-100 RPM drop on both mags as normal. The flight went well with what seemed to be normal power but after landing and before shut down, there was zero drop on the left mag but the normal 75 on the right. I believe I know the answer, perhaps the P-lead is off or broken. I looked in my service manual but cant find anywhere on testing this. Will an Ohm meter between the post and the wire tell the tale? The local mechanic people here are not around for the weekend so I wanted to see if it could be a simple fix in the meanwhile. PA32R-301T so a Lycoming 540. Thanks.
