Im starting my IFR training. My panel is lacking but I do have a Narco MK12D with GS, that is Comm 1 Nav 1. My issue is that the radio needs tuned. The VOR is off by about 5 degrees. Ive talked to the a local avionics shop and they tell me it cant be tuned? The COM works great and I believe the GS works though Ive never flown a precision approach with it due to the VOR being off.
My question is, can this radio be tuned? Or is he just trying to sell me something? I understand Narco is gone, but I would like to train with this equipment until I can afford a full panel upgrade.
