I bought a Dakota shortly after getting my PPL five years ago. I got my instrument ticket in it a couple of years ago. I did upgrade the avionics with a GTN 650, GMA 350 and a GTX 345 with an engine monitor. I love the plane and it's capabilities but I am getting the itch for something a bit quicker with retractable gear. I have considered the Turbo Saratoga and wanted to get some opinions on TAS, maintenance, fuel burn, problems, and anything else you all could offer. Before putting some more goodies in my Dakota, I wanted to consider something with a little more performance.
