All,

I own a ‘81 Seneca III that had Merlyn UDPCs installed. I have been very cautious about not over-boosting the engines on takeoff. Every once in a while I see 40” MP but usually I shoot for 33” before break release then allow the MP to build slightly on takeoff roll.

Is there a need to be this conservative or are the Merlyns supposed to totally prevent over-boost?

Just looking for some practical advise on power management in my Seneca.

Thanks,
Dan
