I noticed on takeoff today that the RPM was a little low. I'm not sure if/how long it's been this way as I normally only check the oil pressure gauge for fluctuations on takeoff and just go by engine sound.

Static run up at full throttle/full rich is getting me 2200 RPM. In an 80 knot climb it rises to a bit over 2300... I'm thinking this is a bit low? This is with mixture full rich. Double checked carb heat is off. Nothing in the engine compartment looks amiss. Oil consumption isn't suddenly excessive... Airplane seems to still climb and accelerate the same as usual... have a compression test scheduled for Monday. Little nervous:-( Thoughts?
