Hi all,

During my plane search, the twin comanche has caught my eye. I was wondering if there are any non advertised twin comanches for sale, preferably with a Canadian registration? If it is advertised on barnstormers or controller, I've probably seen it already. Just thought I'd ask the pros here, in case you know of any for sale.

Not completely against an import from the US into Canada, but I'd like to avoid it if at all possible. Ideally I'd hope to find one with mid time engines, IFR avionics and an autopilot, but willing to look at all suggestions!

Kind regards,

I would recommend checking on The Comanche delphi forums.

Saw this one on Kijiji, don't know if advertised elsewhere

As a fellow Canadian, I understand wanting to save the added cost of import and exchange rate non parity

Hi Tim,

thanks, I saw that one appear in a search a few days ago. I only just started looking at twin commanches, but I have the impression it is quite a bit overpriced. The engines are well past TBO. The bottom overhaul, which is supposed to be the saving grace of the plane according to the broker, isn't really that valuable according to my mechanic sources. You're basically looking at a plane with proper avionics, good paint, but timed out engines.

The fact that they decided to only bottom overhaul the plane after a gear up incident, with an engine past TBO at that point, raises some red flags to me as well.

But I might be paranoid!
