My little toy car, Suzuki SX4, that I use for very local driving has a MPG display with an "average" mode. In the last few weeks the MPG has jumped from 26.5 to 29.1. No change to the car or driving routine. The only thing I can think of is that the alcohol is gone. I have heard that there is a shortage of the stuff, and the oil companies have petitioned for permission to leave it out.

Anyone out there with similar experience?
