Instrument lighting

I have what may seem like a odd question for most of you. I bought a 71 140 and have been slowly working my way through a long punch list. The other day tackling some elelectrical issues, I was wondering why the instrument lights were not coming on. After studying the service manual I'm coming to belief that the only lighting is the over head red light. Is this true?
