I've been looking for an Archer II with the idea that I will use it for VFR family trips and IFR training, and I'm having difficulty finding something that has both a WAAS GPS and a good autopilot that I can eventually upgrade with a GPS coupler (two things I definitely want for single-pilot IFR and would rather buy installed).
Since almost nothing available is 2020-compliant anyway, should I ignore the WAAS for now and assume I'll probably want/need to upgrade the GPS in a few years even if I were to find a 430W or equivalent?
Or maybe look for one with a non-W 430 and figure the upgrade to WAAS price in?
This will be my first plane and I plan on keeping it for a while, so I'm trying to think long term.
