I recall about a year or two ago there was a question out there for private pilots wanting to get a commercial pilot certificate. The regs read for a commercial you need 10 hours of hood time, compared to three for VFR private. If you have an instrument rating on your private, you obviously have much more than 10 hours of hood time - but was there an opinion by either FAA or some inspector as a FSDO that said the training time under the hood for private instrument rating doesn't count towards commercial? Whatever became of that?
