Currently flying a 1974 PA-28-151 Warrior with approx 1450 hours on engine, but looking down the road when I need a rebuild. I'm budgeting for a 160HP upgrade. I know this will give me 10 more HP, however how does this increase in HP translate to an increase in useful load?? I'm assuming an increase in HP will also increase the useful load.

Current useful load is 893 (2325 gross, 1431 empty) due to some modifications by previous owner(s). Is there formula, standard practice, etc, where you can say "useful load increases x lbs for every y HP increase"?
