Previously I posted that I was having gear problems on my PA-23-250. That has since been solved. However, during the troubleshooting phase, another pilot at my airport asked me "why don't you just hold the gear handle down until you get three greenlights?" To be honest, I did not know the answer to the question. I told him that I suspect it would damage something and therefore it did not sound like a good idea. So that is the question.

What happens if you hold the gear selector in the down position on an Aztec?

Anyone?
