I am looking for a recommendation for upgrading my headset. I have about 200 hours and have always just flown with a cheap $100 headset. I find now that I am working on my IFR training, I sometimes don't catch an entire transmission from ATC. I think the quality of the sound through the headset, and the lack of noise cancelling is a direct contributor to me missing words the controller says.

I don't fly a ton (probably about 25 hours per year) so I really don't want to spend a fortune for a headset, but would like something that is better than what I have. The feature that I think would be important is ANR. From what I see the headsets with ANR go for $300 and up. I would be interested in having bluetooth built into the headset, but I am not willing to spend hundreds of additional dollars for it.

What do you guys recommend?
