Breaking in my Lycoming rebuild. Took a fuel sample 4 days after the first hour of running hard. Fuel from the gascolator was green. I continued draining, and it went to clear, then finally blue. Probably a cup and a half green and a cup of clear before it turned blue.
I flew two days later, and the first cup was almost clear, with a very slight blue tint. Flew yesterday after 5 days down, back to about a cup of green, half cup of clear and finally blue. Anyone ever seen this? Runs fine, cht’s are around 400 on two cylinders- high cht is supposed to happen during break in from what I’ve read.
