GPS vibrates to much cannot read

So my shop installed my Aera 660 to my panel, but used a ram ball arrangement.
It’s not IN the panel but rather ON the panel via a Ram ball arrangement.
Totally unreadable due to the vibration in flight.
Is there a fix ir was it a really bad idea to let him
Mount it the way he did?
