It seems my almost new-to-me 1965 Cherokee is missing any documentation or logbook entries for the following aftermarket mods:
1. Replacement of the OEM compass with a vertical card compass.
2. Replacement of the OEM wing tip nav lights with Whelen (I think) nav/strobe lights.
3. Installation of a panel light dimmer switch. Pedigree unknown. It appears to have been fashioned out of the dimmer switches in later model Cherokees.
4. Installation of a heated pitot tube (which was an OEM option).
Being the obsessive rule-follower that I am, I would like to rectify this to the extent possible. How do I go about doing this without running into a regulatory buzz saw at the Friendly Aviation Agency and a possible grounding of my aircraft?
