I am being told that I am supposed to have capacity placards on my fuel tanks right around the filling caps indicating both the number of gallons total and usable for the tanks. I know the numbers and it's my airplane, so I don't care. But, is this something I'd get dinged for on a ramp check? I don't think it has ever had stickers there before from the looks of it. I've seen some airplane with them and many without.

Is this guy full of it or is he spot on?
