No joke! There's nothing more disheartening than a prop that doesn't turn on command. I wish there was a way in the preflight to check for a weak battery and not find out after the aircraft has been pulled out and strapped on.

My main question is, how can I recharge the battery without the Piper 12v external plug? I know the battery is under the rear seat but I'm not sure how to access it. The battery isn't a 12v is it? I thought it was a 24v battery.

Anyone else have a similar situation? I found no reason for a dead system. Nothing was left on or plugged in and it flew fine about a week prior. I did a quick test of turning off all lights and power drain and the prop gave a very sluggish movement. Fearful of damaging something by trying, I just called it off and scratched my head.
