Well after getting lots of advice, reading a ton of stuff on the forums and looking at what is available I think I have finally decided that my 1st airplane should be a PA-28-235 (Cherokee 235). As I think this plane pretty much meets 90% of what I need:
1. Descent performance at 130 ish Knots so good for the 300 to 500NM XC.
2. Auto fuel STC compatible.
3. Stable IFR Platform
4. Can carry 4 adults (though cramped)
5. Is relatively cheap to maintain (as far as planes go)
6. Fits the budget of 60K ish (Mostly)
For example https://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=174465&listingType=true
So saying that as I know the much more common variants are the 140/160 or 180 Cherokees, does anyone out there own a 235? If so what are your experiences, good, bad, etc.. Do you like the 235 or do you wish you went with something else like a Comanche or an Arrow?
Oh and lastly if anyone knows of a one that is looking for a new home feel free to PM me.
